There is a kid who lives somewhere in my area who rides a Harley with giant ape hangers, not quite as huge as these…

…but somewhat similar to these.

I have never been on a bike and not planning to ride any time soon so this position seems to be extremely uncomfortable. As a matter of fact when people discussing torture refer to “forcing a detainee into painful positions for hours” this is one of the positions I imagine being used. Maybe I am missing something here?
