Oh Trader Joe's, Your Croissants Are Calling...

Oh Trader Joe’s, Your Croissants Are Calling,
From end to end with chocolate at heart.
I should have bought a case of those pastries
But I did not, I wasn’t very smart.

The next morning:

Twenty five minutes later:

Oh, Trader Joe’s!

  • Owen

    Me thinks those look delicious.

  • Wow! That’s cruel and inhumane, you know, to put pictures like that where I see them first thing in the morning.

  • midtown miscreant

chocolate candy orange slices, who knew?

  • very funny. seriously. very creative. thanks for posting

  • YUM. Jeezy chreezy those look good.

(Is it just me, or have the pictures you post gotten to the point of being HUGE SIZE all the time? Is there a reason? Because I’m sure I could still see them pretty clearly if they were half the size…and then they’d be less obvious on my work computer screen. I’m all about the stealth read while at work…Mwahahahaha!)

  • I like big photos, but they should auto-shrink when you make your screen smaller. It doesn’t always work just right but one thing is seeing and the other is feeling that you should immediately drive to St.Louis and buy a case of croissants.

Oh Trader Joe’s, KC, KC is calling,
From KCMO and Johnson County too,
We want you so, we promise we are willing
to buy so much it will be good for you.

But come ye here and we’ll leave Cosentino’s,
We’ll never go to Whole Foods anymore,
And even Costco pales in your sweet shadow,
Oh Trader Joe’s, Oh Trader Joe’s, we want you so.

    • Great poetry, but Trader Joe’s doesn’t beat Costco. So I am accepting it as a hyperbole.

  • Hungry Person

Well, I didn’t say we wouldn’t go to Costco anymore. Just Cosentino’s & WF.
Don’t you know the fine art of sweet-talking? Once TJ’s gets here we can beat it around and treat it bad, but until then, we have to say what it wants to hear.

  • Hungry Person

BTW, we were at the Linwood one a couple of days ago and J wanted to know where you were ;D

  • actually I was there last week buying 3 foot tall bottle of vodka.

  • I travel for JOOLS

Now I am going to have to go get something to eat.

  • Hellonewlife

Those look delightful. I’m buying those on my next trip to Trader Joes, I had to move away from KC to find one. 🙂

  • I like to put the flat banana in the microwave for 15 seconds or so, just to make it more pliable, and then spread peanut butter on it. Roll it up and enjoy!

  • I have 2 packs of those on the counter as I type this. Microwaving sounds like a good idea, although we don’t keep PB in the house due to allergies
