Islam-WOW!

I don’t understand why ANY religion would want to advertise on a billboard (this on is on I-35 N).

What’s next – sham-wow-style commercials? “But wait, if you call now we will send you a FREE Qur’an and literature”. Maybe I am on to something here….

I’ll always remember that “who broke my window” ad whenever I hear folks bad-mouthing the Mormons.

    “He told the truth!”
    “He told the truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuth!”

  • Wow, that was before I got here, but Mormons are big on recruiting, so I am not surprised

Advertising essentially boils down to convincing people that they’ll be happy if they use your product. Proseletyzing generally boils down along the same lines. More recently I’ve seen television ads for Methodists and Lutherans. Generally religious groups will limit themselves to pushing a specific charity they’re working on (such as the Salvation Army or children’s hospitals or aid to Africa), but not always.

  • As long as Billy Mays is the spokesman, I’ll buy it.
